Red Square

On Tuesday my class (Room6) Te Pouahi and I went to red square. Red square is an organised thing in town where schools can perform to the public. Te Pouahi went first and they did three maori songs. Finally it was our turn to perform. I was nervous but I was also excited. All the people who had been in the rock the house choir sang a song called One Day. Then our whole class did two Jump Jam songs called Hey Baby and Kotahitanga. Finally it was time to go back to school. It had been a very exciting day!

The Roller scating ring

In the holidays Susan,Jonothan,Eva and I went to the roller skating ring at tahuna.Eva and I both found roller blades easier than roller skates, because when we went on roller skates we fell over lots.I could go faster than Eva if I really tried to.Half way through the time we were there, before it closed we met a little girl called Jasmine who we made friends with so we skated around with her. We could all skate through the middle of the rink without falling over but it was hard. Nearly every time I went really fast I fell over, but it didn't hurt that much. Then Jasmine had to go home so Eva and I skated around the rink without her.Finally it was four o'clock when the rink closed, so we had to go home. Susan, Jonothan and I dropped Eva back off at her house then we went home. I had really enjoyed going to the roller skating rink.
